Solutions built by people who've lived the problem

Tinkerstack started from a simple idea: the best software gets built by people who've actually lived inside the problems it's meant to solve. Before this was a business, it was tinkering: building tools inside a company to fix real operational pain, then building the whole stack around them. The name is a reminder that we don't start with theory, we start with what's actually broken and build up from there.

What we build

Custom software

Tools and apps shaped around how your business actually runs, not how a template assumes it does

Websites

Fast, clean sites that say what you do, look sharp, and get out of the way

Systems integration

Connecting the software you already use so data stops living in disconnected silos

Ops and finance tooling

Automating the spreadsheets, reports, and busywork that eat up your week

What we've built

No client logos yet, just real software running a real company's operations every day.

Company intranet

Shepherd HQ

A full intranet for a top producing real estate team: company directory, OAuth sign-in, KPI leaderboards, and a commission calculator that generates disbursement forms on demand. Pulls live data from QuickBooks and the spreadsheets the team already runs on.

Transaction management

Facade

A multi-tenant SaaS platform for real estate transaction coordination: deals, contacts, tasks, calendars, email templates, and analytics in one place, with payments through Stripe and address lookup through Google Maps.

Property management console

PM Central

An operations console that brings property management work from four separate AppFolio databases into one dashboard, so the team stops juggling logins to see what's going on.

And the site you're reading right now, built on the same stack we'd use for yours.

How it works

No mystery and no big reveal at the end. Here's the whole process.

1

A quick call

Tell us what's slowing you down. We look at how you actually work today, not a feature wishlist.
2

Honest scoping

You get a realistic price and timeline before anything gets built. If we're not the right fit, we'll say so.
3

Build in the open

We build the smallest version that solves the problem and get it in your hands early. Your feedback steers the rest.
4

Support after launch

Your business keeps changing and your software should keep up. We stick around to fix, adjust, and improve.

Who you'll work with

Dayne Bock

Dayne Bock

Founder

I've spent the last three years inside real estate operations in the DMV area, including time as director of operations, and I still have a hand in the day to day. Before that it was three years in banking and a business degree. All of which is a long way of saying I've lived the office problems I now build solutions for.

None of this started as a business, and none of it came from a classroom. I was tired of doing the same manual tasks every day, so I taught myself to build tools that did them for me. I was tired of answering the same questions over and over, so I built the company an intranet and pointed everyone there. Eventually the tools got good enough that building them became the job.

If your week is full of copy-paste work, spreadsheets held together with hope, or software that refuses to talk to each other, that's the stuff I like fixing most.
